Payton Capital Ltd Appoints Non-Executive Director, Meredith Scott
The Board of Payton Capital is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Meredith Scott as a non-executive director.
Meredith is the former Chief Executive Officer of Opportunity International Australia where she also held the position of Chairman of Opportunity’s Indian subsidiary, Dia Vikas Capital.
Prior to entering the Not-for-Profit sector, Meredith spent 19 years as both an Audit Partner and an Ernst & Young Governing body member at national, asian and global levels.
Throughout her 32-year tenure at Ernst & Young she had signing responsibilities for clients across the Technology, Publishing, Telecommunications, Not for Profit, Movie Production, Real Estate Management and Education sectors. Meredith was the first (and, during that time, only) woman to be promoted to the Ernst & Young Oceania Executive Team.
Meredith’s extensive professional and governance experience provides her with a detailed understanding of a range of Finance, Accounting, Audit and Risk matters across multiple industries.
Meredith holds a Bachelor of Economics from The University of Sydney, and is recognized as a Fellow of Chartered Accountants, Australia and New Zealand, and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Meredith also holds an Honorary Fellow of Senate from The University of Sydney following 10 years of serving on its Finance and Audit Committee.
Meredith has proven strategic business leadership which she has demonstrated across her diverse career and various directorships; formally Board Member and Chair of the Finance and Audit Committees, and member of the Governance Committees of both Pymble Ladies’ College and Wesley Mission.
