Donor Advised Giving
Giving Fund:
A Giving Fund is a sub-fund, within our ACNC registered Public Ancillary Fund which gives you full control of where the funds are distributed without the governance headaches. You decide what the fund is called and it can be promoted to your networks.
Corpus:
You get an immediate tax deduction for any money you put in the Giving Fund but you can take your time deciding where it should go. In the meantime, we will invest the funds, in accordance with our Investment Policy.
You decide whether to give away the whole lot right away, over time, or leave some invested and just give away the income.
Distributing:
You can give to any ACNC registered charity with DGR Item 1 status.
Any charities we have reviewed with our due diligence process and passed, ends up on our list of endorsed charities which you can see here. Choosing to give to one of these gives you that confidence that the money will be used effectively. If you’d like to give to a charity not on the list, but you want to make sure they are well managed, we can do the due diligence review for you, as long as the donation exceeds $24,000 pa.

Intergenerational:
Considering which needs to give to is a great way to involve children and grand-children. You could have regular meetings to decide how to make allocations. We can help facilitate this.
Reporting:
We’ll give you quarterly updates on your giving, how much you have left to give and how much it’s earning.
Fees:
None. Our overhead is covered, so we want every extra dollar to go where it’s needed most.
We do however ask that you consider allocating some of your giving to our Health, Housing or Education portfolios.

Payton Foundation Fund (Public Ancillary Fund)
The Payton Foundation Fund is a Public Ancillary Fund registered with the ACNC and ATO and is a Deductible Gift Recipient (from 5 July 2017).
That means that Gifts/Donations over $2 are tax deductible.
Donations received in this fund will only be applied to partner organisations who are also Deductible Gift Recipients.
100% of all donations will be passed through to partner organisations.
Admin costs of the Foundation are borne by the trustee: Payton Foundation Ltd.

Payton Foundation Ltd (Trustee)
Payton Foundation Ltd is a company limited by guarantee and is a charity in its own right, registered with the ACNC and has Tax Concession Charity status with the ATO but is NOT a deductible gift recipient.
It also acts as trustee for the Public Ancillary Fund.
It was established in 2014 when Payton Capital Ltd gifted it 20% of its shares.
The dividends from these shares are used to fund the administration of the trustee and the Public Ancillary Fund, and also fund work with partner organisations who are not themselves deductible gift recipients.
