Jason Pater
Chief Executive Officer of Foundation
Jason is a Chartered Accountant (Fellow) and is also CEO of the Payton Foundation in addition to being a director and advisor to several other company boards and charities. Having begun his career with PwC, he has been practising for over 30 years.
Jason holds a Bachelor of Commerce, a Diploma of Financial Services, and a Governance Institute of Australia Certificate of Governance Practice. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand.
Marg Perry
Philanthropy and Engagement
Marg is an experienced educator, executive leader and relationship manager, with experience in corporate, community, and not-for-profits.
Marg has a Bachelor of Arts, with post graduate qualifications in education; a Diploma of Ministry; a Master of Arts – Leadership; and has participated in leadership intensives at the University of Cambridge and Harvard University.
Marg is passionate about providing opportunities for those who may lack resources and prospects. Marg believes giving to others adds purpose and joy to life.
Steph Hill
Philanthropy and Engagement
Steph has extensive experience in community fundraising and completed a Bachelor of Arts (Global) specialising in Community Development at Monash University.
Steph has held a number of roles within Australian charities and was a live in mentor at Fusion’s housing service for five years. Alongside her role with the Foundation, Steph continues to work as the Fundraising and Resource Manager at Fusion Australia.
Meet our Payton Foundation Board
David Payton
Director / Chairman
David has worked on the financial services sector for over 20 years.
He has been an investment adviser with Lend Lease and Lifespan, and prior to Payton was Dealer Principal and Head of Funds Management for a large not-for-profit organisation.
In these roles David established financial planning and lending businesses including the creation of wholesale commercial mortgage portfolios with Westpac and ANCU.
David holds a Bachelor of Business, Diploma of Financial Services, Diploma of Finance and is a member of the Financial Planning Association.
Greg Blaskett
Director/ Board Secretary
Greg recently retired after a career as a Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Accountant and Registered Company Auditor.
For over thirty years, Greg has consulted for and worked within numerous for-profit and not-for-profit associations, religious organisations and community groups.
Greg has been an investor with Payton Capital for some time but is enthusiastic to now contribute his experience to the Payton Foundation.
Rob Fellows
Director
Rob has worked in the property industry for the past 25 years. Rob pioneered Market-Line Property Valuers, which is now (post-merger with Opteon) the largest valuer in Victoria.
Rob has extensive experience in industrial and commercial property, and provides valuable in-house property expertise.
Rob holds a diploma and post graduate qualifications in property, is a certified property valuer and retail specialist as defined in the Retail Leases Act.
Ross Munns
Director
After completing a double degree in Science and Engineering, Ross spent the following 20 years working in multi-national companies overseeing global infrastructure predominantly in the banking sector in the UK and Europe.
His last role in this industry, was as Lead Architect for Hewlett Packard based in France. Ross then chose to step into a tech start-up business in Australia as a co-owner of cloud infrastructure company, web24.
Over 7 years this business grew rapidly which culminated in an acquisition by a NASDAQ listed company. Since then Ross has enjoyed a variety of roles in the property development, finance and IT consultancy industries.
His passion remains in supporting not-for-profit organisations including assisting with strategic direction, providing hands-on assistance and setting governance structures as a Board Member.
Sally Burgoyne
Director
Sally has over 15 years’ of experience in the funds management and financial planning industries having worked at Payton for the past 8 years, and previously at Macquarie Bank and other smaller businesses.
Sally has extensive experience in working with investors, financial planners, accountants and lawyers, assisting them to fulfil their financial goals.
Sally holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Australian National University) and a Diploma of Financial Planning.
Tim Payton
Founder
Tim is a certified practicing accountant with extensive experience in structuring capital for property investment.
Tim is the founder of the Payton Group and has worked in finance, accounting and brokerage for the past 40 years.
